Vale Base Metals invites you to attend a public information session hosted by the Bureau d’audiences publiques sur l’environnement (BAPE) about our nickel sulfate plant project in the Bécancour industrial and port area.
The event will take place on Tuesday, June 17, beginning at 7:30 p.m. The location will be announced soon by the BAPE via press release. Vale Base Metals will update this page as soon as it becomes available.
The session aims to present to the community our nickel sulfate plant project and its environmental impacts. These are detailed in the environmental impact study, which was recently deemed acceptable by the Minister of the Environment, the Fight Against Climate Change, Wildlife and Parks.

Help us improve our project
The public information period for our project will begin on June 4, 2025.
During this period, any individual, group, or municipality may submit a written request to the Minister for a public consultation or mediation related to this project. This request must be submitted no later than July 4, 2025.
